an although you do change your forward vision range and anticipate better ( I drove on the autobahn right after the wall came down and it was filled with Trabant's doing 40 mph and backing up on the ABahn after missing exits....talk about dangerous...) and yes i've driven over 150 (over 200 actually but that was open wheeled and on a track..) and your reaction time decreases significantly. I'm not saying this guy was responsible in what he did at all, on the contrary. However that doesn't mean that high speeds on the autobahn are dangerous at all times. Over here....yup all the time anywhere. Too many ppl going too slow in all lanes...
